Super Strawberry Spectacular
This year’s theme is a celebration of our 35th year of having a successful Owego Strawberry Festival. Many festival participants have grown –up and grown older with the festival as a summertime benchmark. Sunshine, rain, wind, heat and cold have never stood in our way. The strawberries ripened one way or another and found their way into the many wonderful treats and décor of our festival. We never know for sure what the weather will do but we will be here with our local merchants, restaurants and non-profit groups along with the over 200 unique food, craft and activity artisan/vendors ready to delight your senses.
We will entertain you with a bigger, more Spectacular fireworks display than ever before at our Friday Night Block Party. We will entertain you throughout the festival with ten terrific local bands, a bicycle stunt show, jugglers and puppet shows for the kids.
To commemorate our 35 years we are offering a special poster created by Owego’s own talented artist Michael Husted, a dreamy rendition of our strawberry theme. This artist signed and numbered limited edition poster will be offered for sale prior to and during the festival in our downtown merchant district.
It takes a Village, a lot of enthusiasm and dedicated work to pull off the Owego Strawberry Festival year after year.
Historic Owego Marketplaces’ 35th Annual Owego Strawberry Festival Committee says Thank you! Another successful year with record attendance! Whew!! This event is only possible because of all who contribute their time, effort and dollars.
