Announcing Owego Strawberry Festival’s 1st Annual “Strawberry Shake” 5K Run/Walk, and The Shortcake” 1 Mile Fun Run for Kids.

| Time: | Kids’ Run begins at 5:30 pm; 5K Run begins at 6:00 pm |
| Entry Fee: | 5K Pre-registration—$15; 1 Mile Fun Run—$5; Must be received no later than June 8.The first 200 pre-registered runners are guaranteed a free t-shirt. 5K Day of Race—$20; 1 Mile Fun Run Day of Race —$7 |
| Who: | The Kids’ Fun Run is for ages 6—12 only. All others should register for the 5K. |
| Place: | Race Day Registration Table will be set up in front of Draper Park, Front Street, Owego. |
| Check-in: | Race number pick-up and race-day registration will be held from 5:00-5:45 pm. No registration pick-up after 5:45 pm. |
| Awards: | All kids in the Fun Run will receive prizes for participating. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in theMale and Female categories will be awarded for the 5K Run. |
| Note: | The race directors reserve the right to reject any entry for any reason. The race is partlyrun with traffic on a state highway, so dogs are absolutely forbidden. Those observing poormanners towards motorists or not obeying the traffic marshals will be disqualified |
| Benefit: | All proceeds from both runs will benefit the Tioga County Historical Society and theGateway Community Park. Donations will also be accepted. |

Directions to Draper Park:
- From Binghamton and East: Take Exit 64 (2nd Owego exit). Follow signs for Rt. 96, over the bridge and the Susquehanna River. At the end of the bridge is a stoplight at Front & Court Street. Draper Park is immediately to your left.
- From Elmira and West: Take Exit 64 (1st Owego exit). At end of ramp, take a left to the stop light. Turn left. At the end of the bridge is a stoplight at Front & Court Street. Draper Park is immediately to your left.
- From Ithaca and North: Take Rt. 96B all the way south to Owego (ends at Main Street). Turn right on Main Street and left on Park Street (it’s quick). Go to stoplight. Draper Park is immediately in front of you to the right.
